Teaching Gardens

School-wide Teaching Gardens

Our school is proud to offer hands-on garden education through our school-wide teaching gardens. Each week, our dedicated farmer visits to lead garden classes with students, connecting them to nature, science, and sustainability.

We currently maintain three outdoor garden areas with multiple planting beds and fruit trees, as well as an indoor hydroponics unit. When the gardens produce enough to harvest, students run a farmers market at the front of the school—typically at the end of the school day. All proceeds go directly back into supporting and growing our garden program.

We love involving families in our garden work! Whether you're interested in planting, weeding, or harvesting, there are always opportunities to help. Keep an eye on Class Dojo for announcements and volunteer opportunities.

USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

Every week our students will participate in learning about nutrition, healthy tips while sampling fruits and vegetables provided by the USDA. Click the link below to learn more about this nutrition service.
